<idPurp>Este trabalho foi desenvolvido pelo GTAER - Grupo de Trabalho para a definição de Potenciais Áreas de Aceleração de Energias Renováveis (PAER), criado pelo Despacho n.º 11912/2023, de 23 de novembro, e pretende consolidar e robustecer o anterior trabalho realizado na identificação das áreas com menor sensibilidade para a localização de unidades de produção de eletricidade renovável (solar fotovoltaica e eólica). O trabalho aqui apresentado avaliou o potencial de implementação das referidas unidades, em áreas ou territórios naturais. O processo de identificação das áreas PAER, teve em consideração 5 cenários diferentes, dependendo da exclusão ou não das seguintes condicionantes: (i) áreas respeitantes aos aquíferos classificados como porosos ou essencialmente porosos, pertencentes à orla ocidental e à bacia do Tejo-Sado; (ii) áreas respeitantes a distância de tecido edificado residencial e de uso misto e (iii) áreas de RAN (Reserva Agrícola Nacional) e de REN (Reserva Ecológica Nacional) disponíveis.
As áreas apresentadas, contribui para a definição de futuras áreas preferenciais AER – não constitui a definição formal e AER. Nas futuras AER haverá simplificação do processo de licenciamento. Note-se que essas áreas não são exclusivas, podendo no resto do território serem implementadas unidades de energia renováveis, de acordo com o normal processo de licenciamento. Os resultados apresentados traduzem a situação à data de fevereiro/março de 2024.</idPurp>
